"Awesome experience!"
My husband took me here for my 50th birthday along with two of our friends. We had the best time and were treated like kings and queens! The service was awesome and staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room looked exactly like the photo and so did our friends room. The food was really good and my girlfriend and I were so pleased that they had a lot of gluten free items on the menu. There was only one night where we had to wait to get seated but maybe 15 minutes. I really can't say anything negative about the time we spent there and would definately go back!

Resort location excellent to and from the Airport, service and staff were amazing. Food in all restaurants was exceptional including the VIP Lounge. Spa service were excellent and as well. Highly recommend the Panama City and Canal and the Embera Village tour. No rain so most of the days were spent at the beach. The gym offer an excellent view of the garden and beach while working out. Looking forward to our next visit.

We have only been here 2 days so far.....but our experience has been great. Very friendly and eager to please staff. Found seats at the preferred pool at 10:30 and have had attentive service all day. Bars and restaurants have been quite good and the rooms are beautiful. Beach and water clean.....several people swimming today. Will report more as week progresses....
"A perfect visit"
This resort was still in midst of switching over on our stay but despite that we had an amazing trip. Our trip couldn't have been more relaxing service given from Valerio Hendoza and Dialys Perez who work in the Preferred Lounge made our stay extra special. Juan Pablo went out of his way to fill our every request and the food and beverage manager was always on hand as the resort transitions to a Secrets. Food in all restaurants was exceptional and pool service was above and beyond. The property is impeccably maintained and all staff go out of their way to provide a relaxing environment. We really enjoyed the yoga classes!
"Warmth and relaxation"
We returned from Panama on 1-22-16. We acknowledge that all did not run smoothly due to the transition to a new owner. However, we were able to see significant progress throughout our week-long stay. There are very Intimate setting. Many places to be alone with your loved one. The pools are absolutely beautiful. We met many new friends. The pool staff was courteous and prompt. The housekeeper was attentive to detail, such as remembering to give us extra coffee. We requested and received goose down pillows. The dining management, especially Alejandro and Johara, were eager to please and worked very hard to direct the staff. The French restaurant, Bordeaux, was wonderful. Overall, we just relaxed and soaked up the sun. We enjoyed the beach views and sunrise. We believe a good experience is what you make it out to be!
"Lets Keep this a Secret"
The hotel has beautiful grounds and amazing views. The room I stayed in was refurbished and nicely done. The internet worked great. Now, the staff was amazingly nice and friendly yet they had know idea what they were doing. The food was very good but dinner took 2-3 hours....lunch about 1-2 hours. Room service varied every night from 20 minutes to over a hour. Pool service was good and then it seems like they would go to lunch for a hour or two and nobody was around. A taxi from the airport cost $42...Uber was a lot cheaper but I didnt start from the airport. Its a great hotel if you are in no hurry.
"Great experience"
We stayed a week and the resort was great. It was Aesthetically beautiful, well located, comfortable beds, nice rooms and good food. The only negatives were the sand flies that came out at 5pm and the rocky beach that made it impossible to snorkel or swim out.
"First Time in Panama!!"
This is a very nice hotel located about 30 min with traffic, totally outside the Panama City in a little town called playa Bonita (that is the complaint of many, to me is the best part because it feels like a resort not a hotel with all the noises) the hotel itself is going under what it looks like a huge renovation but yet you can enjoy most all the areas. The hotel is kept impeccable and is surrounded by the rainforest so you hear all the nature sounds-awesome- our room 334 have a great ocean view and its larger than a normal room and it has a king size bed on it, the room also has a safe and a small refrigerator, the air conditioner work great the time we were there so it was always pleasant coming in tour room after the heat outside. The have 3 really nice pools and all the green areas look great nice and clean. In general this is a great hotel not a cheap one but a nice one the only thing I was disappointed about us the we couldn't swim in the ocean because the water was receded so much that swimming was not a possibility but that had nothing to do with the hotel, all the people working here was always very helpful, nice and friendly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for a nice getaway weekend or fun with friends or even a Bussines retreat, I wouldn't bring the kids since it doesn't seem to be much to do for the kids here, remember this place is very secluded and wherever you want to go you will need a taxi or to rent a car with we did and it was totally fine but you have to be an experienced driver, on that note check my review and tips for your car rental in Panama I have a few tips on how to save some cash doing it. Overall a great hotel to stay in when in Panama!!!
"Great option near city center"
This is a very budget friendly option, and I was told by the staff that it will soon be "all inclusive", all of the rates. The rooms are OK, and have a balcony sitting are which is great to admire the views of the ocean. The food could be better, and I don't like the M.O. that you can only get basic proteins that are cooked "by order" and you have to wait minutes until it's done, if you don't stay there waiting, you might never try it, and it's the serving the person is cooking will give you, no more. The variety of food could be bigger too. I loved the complementary late check out until 5pm, and the disco is VERY BIG, only a bit chilly, but the bartenders were nice enough to ask for it to be turned off, since it wasn't very crowded that night. I wish the last bar would close a bit later, since 12am it's very early for me. The hotel itself it's under renovations, and I will come back to check it out after it's done.
"Delightful escape"
This was my first trip to Panama and my first time at the hotel. The lobby is being remodeled and will be completed December 1st. The hotel is set in a beautiful cove with delightful staff eager to help. I HIGHLY recommend eating at the lighthouse restaurant on the premises. Beautiful presentation! The staff in the hotel were wonderful, especially Irving - who booked my flights, Erika - who checked me out and was most patient, Cornelio - always available with a smile and assistance, and Joseph Laws in the club intercontinental which had excellent food. The staff at the pool area was not as helpful. Make sure to ask for the thicker blue towels and if you want to avoid the loud music there is a quieter side of the resort where you can focus on the sound of the water and let all your concerns float away.
"Great to unwind"
My wife and I booked an all-inclusive saturday night with hopes of relaxing after a hectic work week. Even though the place could use a little bit of maintenance, we sure had a fantastic and lovely weekend: - The room was clean and comfortable and had a great view. - The pool area had an "adults only" pool, far from the screaming kids (this was a blessing). - The staff was nice and attentive. And you don't see this too often in Panama. - The restaurants were good, not great. But all our meals were tasty and the food looked good. Maybe there's not much to do at nighttime, but a walk along the beach, cocktail in hand, was just what the doctor ordered. Will come back.
"Great Price, Fantastic Spa, Remodeling in Progress"
The room was excellent and we ordered room service for dinner instead of eating at the resort. The pools were clean and enormous. There is an adults-only pool that is perfect for people traveling without children. The spa staff was excellent and the facility was tranquil. I recommend using a Visa card because the spa was 20% off. There are no night-clubs and there are no shows. If you want to do something at night, I recommend renting a car or speaking to the concierge about getting a cab. Overall, I would come back to the resort once the remodeling finishes. While the quality of the food needs to improve drastically, we did not mind because we did not pay for the all inclusive.
"A good ending to a holiday"
A very relaxing way to spend the last days of our trip....Room was clean and very comfortable with a rather lovely view ...all inclusive deal was a bonus. We were out of season so it wasn`t crowded ...pools were great and the beach looked good. The restaurant did not disappoint.... plenty of food with good variety.
"Playa Bonita September 2015"
Beautiful 5 star resort. Booked at Club level and got lovely room, full breakfast every morning and Happy Hour every night. They treated us like kings. Everyone so helpful and polite. Beautiful grounds and there were four pools one being adults only that was so restful. The resort is surrounded by a rain forest with the Pacific Ocean at your doorstep.
"Great experience"
We had a great experience in this hotel. We really liked the food and the peace that comes along with its surroundings. It was a plus for us to have access to the beach area and relax with basically the beach to ourselves. The location was a bit confusing at first but we finally made it.
"A Wonderful Experience"
Just returned from a 9 day tour of Panama. This was the final hotel of our tour and it did not disappoint - The hotel is perfectly located with a very nice beach and pool. The hotel rooms, grounds are very well maintained and it was a pleasure to stay here, the staff, the service , the food all made for a very pleasant experience. A special thank you to our server in the dining room Juan Pablo, he was exceptional, very professional, he truly is an asset to this organization. I look forward to returning in the very near future.
"Nice hotel"
This hotel is perfectly located between a pretty good beach and green forest area. I spent one night there celebrating my honeymoon, it was perfect, the customer service from concierge and front office people was outstanding. Victor Quiceno , Irving, Erika and Victor from the bar, they know how to give you the best service. My wife loved the decoration in the room was just fantastic. The food delicious omg, wordless just enjoy and let them treat you as a king, thanks to everyone in the plantation for a lovely dinner.

We had an excellent stay in this place with its beautiful garden restaurant (palapa style) and pool and garden area. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and all have great views to the ocean. Staff is very friendly and dedicated, they let us forget our business purpose where possible and identified us as private customers, very nice experience! We traveled as business. Meeting rooms and business area are very comfortable and refreshment is offered more than required. All in, very nice recommendable hotel which is worth returning for both business and leisure because of its beautiful outside areas.
"great facility and service"
This resort served as a starting point for our Panama vacation. The grounds were well-maintained and clean, the pools were refreshing, and the views were worth viewing. The staff was extremely helpful, working after-hours to set up an excursion into the Gamboa preserve. We were initially disappointed that the pools shut down at sunset, but discovered that this was a matter of survival -- the insects rule the night. The rooms are clean, but unremarkable, except for the view, which was remarkable. The downside is the food and drink. Alcoholic beverages were tame and unimaginative, with little to offer above standard, watered-down cocktails. With two oceans to supply them with fresh seafood, they should have excellence within their grasp on every menu. Instead, they offered bland, americanized dishes. My recommendation is to pay for the club intercontinental upgrade instead of the all-inclusive package. The breakfasts were good and the happy hour offered an open bar with an opportunity to create your own drinks. The service in the club was fast and courteous, allowing us to watch finals of the Gold Cup soccer match well past the clubs' closing time, and making the sure the appetizers were well-supplied until the end.
